Participants from the first Sacred India Tour share some of their highlights. From the funeral pyres and pujas of Varanasi, to the sacred sexuality of Khajuraho; from the ecstasy of Osho’s enlightenment tree to the simplicity of his birth place and the beautiful welcome from the people of his village; from the serenity of ancient Tantra temples to the hustle and bustle of the marketplace, and the unique experience that is travelling through India!

Oh to be again embracing and being embraced by the tree where Osho became enlightened…held in infinity as in the arms of the most pure and tender lover.

Sending prayers down the Ganges

Sitting under the stars in a little boat on the Ganges, watching our little flower candles carrying prayers and “let go’s” float with purpose in the current til out of sight.

Sitting with death and feeling the Heavenly Comforter at Varanasi’s burning ghat funeral pyres – so natural, so timeless. Everyone should be able to do this once on their life……Anand Aasta

The special highlight for me was visiting Osho’s birthplace and experiencing meeting the local villagers. It was very touching to be greeted by such warm friendly people. Osho’s house had such a wonderful warm nurturing energy and surrounded by such beautiful unspoiled countryside. The magical soft late afternoon sun made the whole experience feel like dropping back in space and time…..Shraddha

The stunning beauty of Khajuraho

Actually, the biggest challenge for me was to come away in the first place – to an unknown country , with a group of people I hadn’t met before. There are many highlights to mention, but the two that stand out were the burning ghats in Varanasi and the sunset meditation in Khajuraho. It was deeply moving and emotional to witness the sacredness in which death is held here. The sunset meditation in Khajuraho -a new experience for me to meditate with open eyes in the darkness with the full moon up. And what a beautiful group of people we were. I’ve made many new friends and the whole tour was a complete adventure. I will always remember this time. Thank you all…….Ian

Total abandonment at Osho's meditation rock

Death in Varanasi – what a baptism into death/life. Life in death – each enfolded in the other. Disturbing for me. I came to India to ‘die to self’ – and I ‘lost’ my passport – my identity. I dipped in the Ganges and let go (Challenge) of old patterns of thought that do not support my journey.

Sex in Khajuraho. Ganga’s personal guided tour of the temples and personal chat about non-possessiveness in love was very special.

Birth - total abandonment meditating (Transformation) at Osho’s rock with the sound of Dynamic Meditation in the background. Challenge: letting go of the mind. Transformation: glimpsing the kingdom is within…….Phil Shankland

Definitely Varanasi – deeply touched by the contrast of chaos, noiseness, dirtyness in the town compared to the peace, calmness, quietness at the river Ganga and the burning ghats.

On the banks of the Ganges at Varanasi

Big relief about the natural integration of death in daily life -accompanied by an Indian guide on top of a building near the ghats, I enjoyed a very special meditation watching a body burn. Standing behind the fire source of the burning ghats and feeling the enormous power of the fire and the power of transformation.

Visiting the tantra temples in Khajuraho guided by Ganga – listening to his explanations of the old Tantra rituals and traditions.

Visitng the enormous tree in Jabalpur where Osho was enlightened – getting the message of purification and the value of it for myself and the whole world.

Visiting the Marble Rocks by boat in the moonlight – like an intergalactic adventure – incredible!…..Joy Beate

The endless nectar of the Shiva puja in Varanasi

The puja in Varanasi for Shiva with endless, endless nectar never ending which just reinforced the Tantra group we had done the week before. It just went on and on – this pouring of milk over the Shiva lingam – and at the end placing salt, curd and an abundance of beautiful flowers. Osho’s Buddha tree had amazing earth energy and was the cuddliest tree I ever felt!

The simple house Osho lived in as a boy

And in Osho’s birth place I felt again the intense heat through the ears and cheeks that I had felt in Darshan with Neelam the week before. It has all been amazing!! Good and bad experiences have all created growth and expansion in me….Sophie Churchyard

For me the Shiva Puja in Varanasi was incredibly beautiful and powerful. The chantings by the three priests (with us joining in the best we could) and the many offerings invoked a trance-like state. I felt extremely blessed to be a part of the ceremnoy -though operating my video camera and stills camera was a bit challenging with ghee or milk-covered hands!

Standing at night by the burning ghats was intensely serene and moving.

Listening to Osho’s guide, Ganga, at the temples in Khajuraho was a real transmission -what a beautiful man!

Sidika soaking up the vibe at Osho's house

Osho’s enlightenment tree opened my heart and brought me to tears – especially poignant when Sarita said that for anyone who hadn’t met Osho in the body (i.e. all of us apart from Sarita), this tree held the same energy.

Marble Rocks by moonlight – beautiful and eerie – I almost expected (hoped for?) a pirate ship with Johnny Depp to appear out of the shimmering darkness!

The last ‘highlight’ was rather unexpected. After narrowly managing to board our return flight from Bhopal to Delhi, complete with 5-Star takeaway dinner in polystyrene containers, the flight crew amazingly agreed with Niten’s request for us to eat our own food. Niten and I juggled plates and chappatis, curry, rice and dal in the narrow serving space at the back of the plane – ducking between the rest of the flight crew as they simultaneously served up the standard airline food. I negotiated the aisle with laden plates of food, luckily not slopping any over the fellow passengers’ suits. One Indian gentleman in the back row commented, “Never before in my life have I seen anything like this!” I apologise but he appeared amused/bemused rather than annnoyed!

Many thanks to Sarita for inspiring the tour and huge appreciation to Niten and Santoshi for steering us with grace and humour through the chaos and adventure that is ‘part and parcel’ of travel in India….Sidika

Sacred India has no beginning and no ending. It allows us to experience the eternal song of life in all it’s multidimensional facets. It is the home of my soul, and returning here for a spiritual pilgrimage brings immense fulfillment. We have wonderful guides, Niten and Santoshi who offer their great enthusiasm and years of experience to bring us a journey of a lifetime.

We began our tour in Varanasi, representing conscious death, a place where people come on pilgrimage to be purged of impurities and meet death as though slipping into the embrace of a lover. In this holy place, the oldest continually inhabited city in the world, they are meeting God while bathing in the river, or being cremated in the fire, or in the continuous flow of music and chanting. I have never seen such a filthy place in all my life, and yet, in spite of this, the transmutation of poison into nectar was luminously present.

Shiva Lingam at Varanasi

The highlight for me in Varanasi was the two hour Shiva Puja which we were privileged to have offered to us. I was completely captivated by the chanting, the presence of the glorious Shiva Lingam, and the very sensuous ritual, where-in we smeared the Lingam with precious scented oils, with ghee, with honey, with spices and ablutions of milk, cleansed and washed it, and finally offered tiers of flowers and fruits. I felt fully blessed through this experience and this quality has not diminished with the passage of time. I felt in those two hours, that we stepped through a transparent veil into another world, another century, another dimension, where devotional love is the ruler of time, mind and all the senses.

Sarita

From Varanasi we went to Khajuraho, a series of Tantra temples, representing sexuality and the invitation to allow meditation to be present in all aspects of life, including our most sensual explorations. The temples are simply exquisite, and are maintained in pristine cleanliness, with gorgeous gardens all around. It is a tremendous pleasure to explore them, taking time to be in awe of such masterful artistry. We were truly blessed to be guided by Ganga, a man who was Osho’s tour guide in Khajuraho, where Osho went numerous times. Ganga received a very powerful transmission from Osho on the subject of Khajuraho and on Tantra in general. I could really feel Osho’s presence in Ganga’s words and gestures as he lovingly shared his experiences of being with the Master and receiving his wisdom. Later, when Ganga had become a disciple of Osho and was living in the commune, Osho asked him to go back to Khajuraho and sing Osho’s song, which he has been doing ever since. He runs an esthetic, clean and loving hotel where people can relax into the nurturing ambiance of Ganga and the Khajuraho vibe.

Khajuraho photo gallery

We then journeyed to Jabalpur, where Osho was a student and then a professor in the University. We stayed in an Osho ashram there, which is on the edge of a marvelous forested area with a beautiful lake. The highlight in this place was to meditate on a very big rock where Osho used to go and meditate regularly, between 1952–1960. The rock has definitely received his transmission. The whole group of us who sat there were transported into deep meditation, and then found ourselves in spontaneous, ecstatic celebration.

Receiving the ecstasy of Osho's transmission

We went to the tree in Jabalpur where Osho experienced enlightenment at the age of 21. I believe that none of us were expecting anything in that strange theme park, decorated with huge plastic dinosaurs. And then we met the tree. And in the tree, we met a presence which was so palpable as to be truly astonishing. I have spent years at Osho’s feet, and so am able to recognize his unique fragrance and presence. I experienced that this tree is the body of Osho. Touching this tree, we are touching Osho’s body. Being embraced by this tree, we are receiving Darshan. It was an extraordinary blessing. As we were meditating there, a local television crew came and asked to interview some of us and to take photos and film us imbibing Osho’s sacred presence through the tree.

After that, still drunk on the divine, we made our way to the Narmada River with the famed marble rocks. We stayed in a hotel run by a Sannyasin named Anil. He was an angel with us, taking us to a very moving sunset Puja by the river. After a feast at his hotel, he then took us for a river cruise with the almost full moon lighting our way. To move in silence upstream and to experience the incredible beauty of this place is a darshan in itself. Everything Osho said about the marble rocks is true, it is one of the wonders of the world. We stopped our boat after about half an hour, and clambered out onto some ghostly white marble rocks which were jutting out into the river. Some people meditated, some people slept, and we were all lulled into the very heart of beauty and silence. It was utterly magical. Anil told us, if we want to come back for a longer time, he can take us on a trip to the marble rocks lasting a few days, and we can just be in the nature imbibing the beauty. He also guides people into Tantric experiences using the 64 sculptures at the Yogini temple in his village. When we visited the temple, it was amazing to feel the energy emanating from the deity inside, the only one of it’s kind in the world, a sculpture of Shiva and Paravati on their marriage day, riding on the back of a bull.

Jabalpur photo gallery

Former maid in Osho's house recounts tales of him as a boy

With much gratefulness in our hearts for Anil, we then journeyed 5 hours by Taxi over abominable roads, to reach Osho’s birthplace. There is an Osho ashram there, run by both Japanese and Indians. It is right on the edge of Osho’s birth village, a tiny hamlet, with houses made of mud brick and cow dung. Crowds of children swarmed around us as we made our way to the house which had been Osho’s home for the first 7 years of his life, the house of his grandparents. The house is abandoned, though it has been kept from complete ruin through the efforts of the nearby ashram. What I experienced meditating in that humble room where he was born, is beyond words. Tears kept welling up in my eyes as I found myself in resonance with the immensity of his soul, born into simplicity and innocence, yet brimming over with enlightened presence. We were guided to the mud, straw and stick hut of a very old woman who was a maid servant in Osho’s grandparents house when Osho was a child there. With ever present raucous laughter, she recounted how he never worked, but simply drank milk, a real lord of the manor so to speak. At the end of our meeting, we found ourselves showering her with money and expressing our gratitude to her for looking after the well being of our master so many years before.

At the foot of the holy mountain

The next day, we came to Pachmari, a hill station, which has many sacred sites and breathtaking views over a vast terrain of wild forests, lakes and rivers. Here, we relaxed in a very luxurious hotel, decorated in a style reminiscent of the British Raj with wonderful vibrant gardens, and a staff ever ready to wait on us hand and foot. This is a great way to unwind and relax after the series of very intense experiences. Today, in the morning, we walked up 1200 steps to the top of a mountain with a Shiva temple on top. The temple was not very interesting, having been left incomplete, but the views as we climb up and down are phenomenal. And to top it all off, an Ayurvedic massage with a 3rd generation practitioner of this art, who is very gifted. This helped to iron out very sore muscles from the climb up the holy mountain.

Stay tuned for more sacred tours, with Niten and Santoshi as guides!

Love

This blog is about a shocking turn of events regarding Aisho, (meaning Radiant Love in Japanese.) After an exquisite series of Aisho Retreats with Uezu San and me, in France, Norway and Sweden, Uezu San announced he would like to let go of the Aisho Project and focus on his individual work. The combination of our work was simply amazing on every level. It was a unique vision, combining East and West, Yin and Yang, Sun and Moon, Tantra and Transcendence. We had a very positive response from people all over the world each time we did a retreat together. The transformation, which was manifesting, was awe inspiring.

Of course, the question on everyone’s mind is, “why did Uezu San drop Aisho?” Strangely enough, he didn’t explain why. So all explanations are only conjecture. One of the basic truths I have learned is; love does not try to change a person, but rather accepts this person as he or she is. And so it is that when he announced he was letting go of our combined work, I searched in my heart, and found only gratitude for what we had shared. I wrote a poem and read it to him.

We then did our last healing circle together which was deeper than ever. Afterwards, people were commenting how deeply touched they were by the healing, and Uezu San commented, “It is the combination of yin and yang which makes it so powerful. This transformation will be with you forever.” When he was leaving, I wept in his arms. And that was it. Below, I offer the poem I wrote for him, and by so doing, I invite you to peek into my heart and soul.

Beloved
Lion of God
You are divinely wild
To be near you is to know heaven while on earth
Your voice echoes in the inner sanctum of my heart
Calling me to be Love, each moment
With your touch
You tune my instrument to the sound of the universe
And the strings of my soul vibrate in ecstasy
Together
We have known the merging of sun and moon
And the delicate flower
Born of the union of East and West
We have tasted the nectar of working as one
And beyond all this
My lord,
It is you
Who has given me the ultimate gift
It is your touch
Your presence
Your magic
Which has opened me all the way to source
In that moment of sublime surrender
I abandoned all of my being
Into your hands, the hands of God
And remain,
In deepest gratitude
And in radiant love
Thank you for being
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for your courage

Love,
Sarita

Aisho retreat, Norway

June 2010 by Roxana

What can I share with you of this retreat?

Silence. A new found depth of meditation of being.

Love. Once again being shown that this is the fabric of my existence, of existence itself.

Death. Opening and releasing a little more of the ego’s clutching.

Union. My tears flowed freely all week, waves of the relief of returning home, a home I now see that I had never actually left, a home that it is impossible to leave, where could we possibly go that is away from the embrace of the divine?

Grace. Healings, held in the arms of two awakened masters.

Community. Being with the 60 or so participants each sharing this thirst for union with God.

Hospitality. The gifts so freely showered upon us by our open-hearted Norwegian friends.

Song. Raising our voices in poetry and praise.

Dance. Of course, where Sarita leads the party soon follows!

Vincent and I will be integrating these gifts for many months so rich was the experience of this retreat, I urge you all to taste the liberation offered through the presence of this unique combination of two awakened masters. In true Tantric style they embrace so many opposites in their teaching together. Such a profound transmission of Shiva and Shakti, yin and yang, western woman and eastern man, classical solitude of meditation and Osho’s radical richness.

Niten travelled to Mahabaleshwar in India to experience Sarita and Uezu-San’s first Aisho (Divine Love) Retreat. There he discovered a rare blend of humour, meditation, devotion, godliness and silence – and meditating monkeys!

Aisho Retreat: Mahabaleshwar, India

With Uzeu-San and Sarita

Three months before the retreat started, I wrote an email to Sarita saying that I couldn’t afford to come as I didn’t have enough money to cover the costs. I received an answer few days later: “To me, money is energy, so, I read that you don’t have enough energy to come….Is that the case?”

It suddenly occurred to me that, yes, I had plenty of energy and good will to be part of that retreat and money couldn’t be a valid reason not to be there. Although my mind was trying to convince me that my finances were too low, something in me decided to Trust and move accordingly…

The retreat started on 3 February. We were 60 people from 11 different countries. In my position as DJ I had organised all my music selection and felt very fortunate to be sitting right beside master Uezu-San. Just like the previous retreat in France, the quality of silence that I experienced defies any description. Perhaps, even more so this time as I could feel his physical presence so close to my body.

There was, however, one thing that my mind was busy with, a chronic bronchitis that had started three months before. I was still coughing a lot of mucus, and my chest was congested, which made it hard to breathe fully.

One afternoon, as participants were having a pause, Master Uezu-San placed his hands on my chest, exactly in the area where I was having trouble breathing. After a short time, I started to feel heat and a very unusual sensation, as if all of my mucus, was being sucked away by his hands. When he removed his hands, I immediately coughed, sneezed, and blew my nose, releasing all the mucus left in my body. I could breathe again, it really felt like a re-birth and the bronchitis hasn’t returned to this day.

During the retreat, we had various sessions, all very powerful and healing. Besides the usual “Dhamma Ball” and “Heart Chakra” meditations, we also had wonderful “live music” events led by Shivananda, a Bhajan and Heart songs master…I found those musical gatherings so special in bringing participants together in playfulness and simplicity.

Fergus in Satori

Also, very much loved and appreciated was the walk to the top of the cliffs, a short distance from the resort. We gathered there a couple of times at dawn, in silence as the sun was rising. What a stunning sight! One participant later shared he had a profound experience, known as “Satori” or glimpse of the “No-Mind” state, dissolving for a moment in universal consciousness…

Then, we were all blessed with sacred moments like “Shaktipat” which traditionally refers to offering all our suffering and misery to the master who Himself transforms it and releases it back to us in the form of universal, unconditional love…In this case, both Sarita and Uezu-San were offering Shaktipat. To me, they symbolised in a very real way the embodiment of pure Yin and Yang energy, dancing in unison, in unwavering balance.

Another powerful moment was the “Energy Darshan” where participants received a direct transmission from both Sarita and Uezu-San. A special Aisho balm was created, carrying Uezu-San and Sarita’s blessing. Uezu-San spiralled around the third eye (or Ajna chakra) whereas Sarita was stroking upward from the third eye in a vertical motion. It was obvious that everyone was profoundly touched by this unique transmission. The impact was awesome. I was witnessing Sarita and Uezu-San as two empty beings, channelling Divine Source Energy.

Monkeys join Francis for morning meditation

Perhaps it is because the retreat was being held in India that the whole group could so easily receive this immense energetic offering – India is well known to carry the fragrance of mysticism and spiritual experiences of all kinds. Or perhaps it is the ability of Sarita and Uezu-San to “channel” any past masters that have lived and contributed to expand people’s consciousness. The energy field created during that retreat was incredibly vibrant, full of love, compassion, dance and laughter…Full…Yet one could also experience the deep Void, the vast emptiness, the magnificent stillness in moments of silence. I believe those moments have nurtured all of us participants to the very core of our hearts and spirits…

I am so grateful that I found in Sarita and Uezu-San, the masters that I have been longing for, perhaps, for lives altogether…Or shall I say, I am so grateful that they finally found me!…

This retreat was, for me, a rare opportunity to experience the unconditional love, total understanding and immense compassion of two individuals who have come to realise who they are, in the deepest sense…It was a rare blend of humour, devotion, godliness, silence and meditation. It was a unique combination of two different flavours, giving us the most exquisite, divine taste of how life can be lived in constant celebration.

Aisho was much more than a week long retreat. It was the manifestation of all the wisdom that has ever existed on Earth and still vibrates today. The wisdom of the East and the wisdom of the West. The wisdom of Male principle and the wisdom of Feminine energy.

Buddha statue at retreat centre in Mahabaleshwar

Many people have been transformed coming into contact with Sarita and Uezu-San…I see the Aisho project being another dawn of a wider, collective awakening that the Earth, and we human beings have been longing for…

Namaste…

Dear friends,

Uezu San toured Norway and France in October and November this year, blessing Europe with his expansive, loving energy. Our beloved friend Tameer was there to witness and absorb the experience. This is his story……enjoy!

Malika x

Tameer’s Uezusan tour report

Norway and France, October/November 2009

My visit to Norway started brilliantly after Ryan Air landed me at Torp airport and I caught the bus to Oslo. The sun shone and the countryside on route was beautiful. The air was cool, dry and clean – very pleasant after the English rain I left behind.

Champaka and Uezu San, Oslo bookshop event

But of course I went to be with Uezu San – not as a tourist. The night before the workshop he spoke at an event hosted by a local sannyasin-run bookshop. The room was prepared for about 70 people but more chairs were brought and by the time we started it was overflowing. There was much interest and quite a few of the people decided to join the numbers booked for the workshop. It was Uezu San’s first visit to Norway and the response was tremendous – especially in relation to the relatively small population.

Uezu San’s seminars are mostly a mixture of meditations, discourses and questions and answer sessions – so its good to make sure you have what you need to sit comfortably. But we also did the Osho Heart Chakra Meditation, which is very active. During on of these I felt that my body was just moving in sync with the other bodies while I watched – “all as one”!

In Europe Champaka translates Uezu San’s Japanese into English, so there were words for my mind to get hold of. But while starting now to write about his words, I remember when I first heard Uezu San in Japan. There was no translation and each discourse was really another meditation. But when my mind let go of struggling to absorb words it didn’t know, and when it let go of being pissed off by not being able to understand, then I saw Uezu San with no ego – as a simple man transmitting love. It was enough! What more can one look for in a master than a transmission of love?

Happy times in Oslo (with Tameer in the background!)

With Uezu San one receives a transmission that is beyond words. But when Champaka translates the words, he describes the universal nature of religion and spirituality. From him I heard that Christ consciousness = Buddha nature = god= our true selves = life = love. He talks of Jesus and Buddha as being men with that enlightened consciousness, which is one. And of course that gives us the opportunity to resonate with each of the words and notice which generates a positive or negative reaction.

Now I am clear that when Uezu San uses the word god he means the consciousness that is internal within each of us. Though sometimes I observe myself reacting to words which are also used when worshiping a god as an external being, even though I know that is not what he means. Then I also see many people from a Christian background resonating very positively to the same words, finding they can directly connect to their concept of god through Uezu San in a way that the traditional church does not offer. As Uezu San teaches – Jesus, Buddha and other enlightened masters use different words appropriate for their time and for their audience – but the truth is one.

The Dhamma Ball Meditation practice that Uezu San teaches is very powerful in its own right, and easy to continue after the seminar. But it becomes especially powerful when supported by Uezu San’s energy and presence. He passes around the room during the meditation session laying his hands on people to offer healing and a transmission of energy. It was in one such transmission that Sarita became enlightened, in May this year in Glastonbury. In Norway many people described very strong and wonderful experiences during the meditations. It was like they had broken through to new levels of bliss and awareness. And at the end of the three days, everyone left looking radiant and looking forward to Uezu San’s next visit to Norway in the summer of 2010.

Sarita and Uezu San in France

I went straight from Norway to my beloved in France, so we could be together at Uezu San’s retreat in the Ardeche. There with her I experienced an indescribable melange of love and meditation. Sarita commented to my beloved she was getting an energy transmission at both the crown and the base chakras and I wonder if this will be the flavour of the six day workshop Uezu San and Sarita are teaching together in India in February – a powerful combination of Shiva consciousness and Shakti energy.

Love and blessings,

I have just received an Ito Thermie healing session with Kohrogi Sensei, an awakened healer and spiritual teacher. I gave him a gift of a hemp bag, which he was delighted with. Using the technique Ito Thermie, which uses burning incense placed in two slim stainless steal rods, he made long sensuous strokes all over my body, something like a master calligrapher. He spent a long time on my belly with a very hot flame. I went into deep surrender. For the first time receiving Ito Thermie, I heard music through the sensation. I was bathing in an ocean of Aum. It was phenomenal, and yet I felt so relaxed with it, just enjoying the eternal moment. At the end, he said, “you have taken a big step in your meditation and I am very happy to see you don’t have attachment to this.”

Yesterday our tour group arrived here, having traveled from Kamakura in the morning. We took a train to the airport in Tokyo, and from there took plane, rental vans and ferry to this island, stopping on the way for a fabulous macrobiotic lunch.

The few days spent in Kamakura were quite simply, becoming drunk on beauty. The cherry blossoms were in full flower and the whole population was out in force, celebrating this yearly event. We visited many Zen temples, each one more beautiful than the last. In perpetual awe and wonder, we were further overcome by the phenomenal macrobiotic meals served to us, each one a work of art and utterly delicious. We also experienced a few Za-Zen meditation sessions guided by Zen Masters of Zen stick fame. Yes, I did get hit with the Zen stick, which brought me sharply out of my jet lag!

I am in my element, like a fish in water. In a few minutes, I will have to tear myself away from this letter in order to go and eat another fabulous feast served overlooking sea. The air is humid but not too hot, just pleasant. Afterwards, Anne and I want to go for a long walk. Today, all day, Kohrogi Sensei is giving sessions to everyone in the group, one at a time. So we have free time around this schedule to enjoy and relax. I feel as I absorb all this pleasure, beauty and meditation, I am somehow sharing it with you and carry love for you in my heart as I go to lunch.

Natsukashi – coming back home

This is a note before going to bed. Today our Natsukashi group started. Natsukashi means ‘coming back home’ in Japanese and stands for remembering our original face. We are 20 people, 13 Westerners and 6 Japanese, plus one translator and Kohrogi Sensei. It has been such a lovely day. It is not so easy to describe inner experiences, so perhaps the best way is to just say it as I live it. Kohrogi guides us in a very subtle way into no-mind, the space beyond time and rational thought. We relax deeply, and begin to unwind into original essence. I have crossed a threshold and find myself in the space of the soundless sound. Usually I am very visual, but today find myself simply dissolving into an ocean of sound. I hear the sound Aum through every pore of my body. Thought becomes obsolete.

During the break, I was sleeping and sunk into a deep trance, dreaming that I was at a sacred place with a stone shaped like a spiral which took me into another dimension. I woke up from within the other dimension. I asked Kohrogi about it and he said he will explain it tomorrow. Some Japanese women told me this sacred place I dreamed about is the place where God descended on earth and we will be visiting this island in a couple of days. So my dream seems to be a premonition.

Discovering the original face

Today, I also gave two sessions of the unhooking treatment. This treatment allows the person receiving it to dissolve anything, which they feel is hooking them and holding them back from being who they want to be. It uses numerology combined with Colour Light Therapy. Both of the sessions were very powerful. Since I don’t have internet access, I can’t be distracted by anything, and am simply enjoying letting go into the moment.

KOHROGI SENSEI ON LIFE AND DEATH

Kohrogi Sensei said such beautiful things about life and death, such as, “darkness is light taking a rest.” And, “death is the ultimate lover. In death, we find the opposite sex we have been searching for. It is the polarity to life and sex. It is the ultimate experience of lovemaking. However, we don’t have to go searching for it. It is waiting for us to arrive to it.” He spoke a long time about Aum, telling us the secret of life as embodied in the sound AUM. Ahh is birth, and Mmmm is death. Between the two is the sound. The Japanese characters for this mean, darkness, and the symbol is that of a temple with the two guardians on either side. One guardian has open mouth, symbolizing birth, and then other has a closed mouth, symbolizing death.

Now I must turn off the light because Anne is in bed.

Today, Kohrogi sensei guided us into childhood memories and played with the phenomenon of past present and future, this moment being the bridge, suspended between past and future. He guided us very skillfully into a space where we could be in contact with our higher self, and from there we stepped beyond time and mind. He works through acceptance with all that is.

He asked us to hold mind in our hands, imagining our hands to be the lotus which opens at infinitum. Then he spoke a long time about Mu, and gave us a beautiful meditation, which transmits the essence of Mu. (Okinawa used to be part of the Mu continent and there are some remnants of that civilization here.) During the meditation, I experienced a merging of my inner male female aspects and from there; I simply popped into another dimension where all is made of light, nothing being solid. From the dimension of light, I could see into the dimension of matter and knew it to be illusory, like a strange dream.

Kohrogi Sensei enjoys being ordinary and human. He smokes, drinks, has a wife and lives a simple life, and at the same time, he is living in a state of being, which is beyond. Sometimes, like today, when he transmits his powerful presence beyond time and space, it simply blows me away. Tonight, he played his songs and music for us in concert. He had us all dancing, just with his guitar and voice. So simple, innocent, and joyous.

FABULOUS JAPANESE TOILETS AND BATHING

10th April

I have a few minutes before we have to load our bags in the van. I realized I didn’t yet tell you about the marvelous experience of using Japanese toilets. I love to go for bowel movements at least three times a day just for the refined joy of this marvelous invention. When entering the toilet, house slippers are removed, and one is requested to put on special toilet slippers. The seat of the toilet is warm. After moving the bowels, you can push a button and a warm jet of perfectly aimed water washes the anus. If desired, this can be used as a mini enema, really cleansing inside and out. Another button brings on the warm air to dry. And, if you happen to be a woman, there is the additional option of another button of precisely aimed warm water, which can be used to cleanse the yoni, or if the woman squirms around ever so slightly, it can be used for pleasuring the clitoris. In some toilets, there is even a button for bird song, in case you wish to cover up rude noises.

In most hotels, there will be a communal bath area, one for women and one for men. There is a row of stools and sit down showers. We are expected to scrub and rinse thoroughly from head to toe, and can then step into the steaming hot pool of water, big enough for several women, or several men, at once. This is such a nurturing way to enjoy bathing. We relax, and share intimacies or beauty secrets. Afterwards, it is easy to fall into deep sleep.

MU MEDITATION AND THE COSMIC SPIRAL

This morning in the group, we did more Mu meditation. The structure of it is so simple, and yet produces a profound effect. I experienced the dimension of light and this dimension co-existing simultaneously in and around me. As we went on, I experienced all time, past present and future merging into one space, and the cosmic spiral eternally spinning here and now. Such bliss and yet so ordinary. The merging of heaven and earth and all time space within each cell of the body is a living breathing experience. The way Kohrogi Sensei explains our human reality sweeps all great cosmologies into the most simple and transparent understanding. In his explanation, heaven and hell, yin and yang, ecstasy and suffering, and the answer to this koan we call life, are all contained in a simple demonstration he did with a cord. Please remind me to give you this demonstration some time, although of course, it would be far more enlightening to hear it and see it from him. Now I have to go, everyone is waiting and ready for the next phase of our adventure.

12th April

Yesterday was so full I couldn’t write. It was a day of utter perfection; filled with so many blessings it is a challenge to recount all of it. It is said gratitude bears the fruit of more to be grateful for. Yesterday was like a thousand petalled lotus, opening up a little at a time until the whole lotus was revealed.

We went to visit sacred sites, called Utaki in Japanese. Okinawa has many of these places of powerful spiritual energy and physical beauty. These places tend to represent a mirroring of the cosmos in human and earthly form. The society which was the caretaker of these sites was entirely matriarchal. The women were thought to be the custodians of the earth through their ability to be mediums for divine energy. The last such priestess caretaker just retired this year. She has no successor. The old ways are dying, and, like a phoenix the transmission from spirit will be reborn in a new form.

Sacred Site on Okinawa

We visited three Utaki. The first one held the nurturing quality of a woman’s breasts. The love and nurturing of overflowing bounty were in evidence throughout. There was one special place of initiation, which had a threshold not permitted to pass over. This was a half moon cave-like area, surrounded by beautiful tropical foliage. Entering this cave like area we had to pass through a triangle shape in a rock. The threshold had little steps leading up to it, a magnificent view of the sea beyond, and a drop down into jungle.

I immediately felt magnetically pulled towards the threshold. My whole being was pulled to cross over. Kohrogi Sensei spoke of this place. He said, “Only very few people were allowed to enter this place, after long initiation. It is so powerful that if someone goes there, either they will die, or go mad or become enlightened. In this place beyond the threshold, all of a person’s karma from their whole past will fall on top of them to be transformed immediately. If they are not prepared for this, then they will explode in one way or another.’ He looked very serious when he said this, and I laughed loudly and made a gesture as if to jump. He laughed also, and said he would have to pull me back. Then Roshani and Ramya also came forward and said they wanted to cross the threshold. We joked about it, and secretly made a pact that we will come back and sneak into this forbidden place sometime.

Sacred Womb Utaki

The second Utaki is in a beautiful grassy place which gives rise to a mountain path. As we ascend higher up the mountain, we come to a gateway in the rock, shaped like a yoni. Entering this place is to truly enter inside the womb. It has tremendous power, which both purges and renews. Kohrogi Sensei told the men to go out and for the women to meditate there. I went into otherworldly healing and unwinding. We fell into deep silence. Then all the women gathered, and we made a circle. As soon as we made the circle, we were overwhelmed by such a powerful energy that we started experiencing simultaneous kundalini and orgasmic explosion. We were laughing uncontrollably, and finally staggered out of the yoni entrance into bright sunlight. We were very drunk, having just made love to existence itself.

We had lunch in a wonderful café overlooking the sea and from there, went to another island by ferry. The café had an amazing toilet whose lid rises up by itself as someone enters the small toilet room. I can’t figure out why we don’t have such toilets in the west. They are definitely addictive!

THE NAVEL OF THE UNIVERSE

The Island we went to is one which doesn’t allow cars. We got bicycles and went on winding shaded country paths to our guest house. We installed ourselves in our tatami rooms overlooking the sea and then proceeded to go and visit the most holy of holies, the very navel of the woman, the earth and the universe. There was another barrier, which didn’t allow us to enter into the sacred grove where ceremonies used to be held every 12 years. We sat at the entrance and meditated. The custodianship of the earth, the well-being and renewal of the earth took place here in secret ceremonies guided by the woman priestesses. What a pristine energy was experienced! My navel was buzzing for hours afterwards, feeling the umbilical cord connecting directly to the cosmic navel.

SWIMMING, AND KOHROGI SENSEI ON ENLIGHTENMENT

After that, we bicycled to a paradise beach, just for us. Such beauty, set in semi tropical lush vegetation, turquoise clear water, sparkling white sand. We swam and sunbathed, and finally, as the tide came up, went back to our guest house and to a wonderful macrobiotic dinner.

After dinner, we sat with Kohrogi Sensei. He spoke about enlightenment, and going beyond, trying to discourage us from rashly and unconsciously choosing such an option, saying how precious it is to experience and know the beauty of life in this five-sense world. His manner of expression is so refined, and such pure Zen, that it is even beyond Zen. He stands for absolute uncompromising acceptance of life as it is in this body and in this moment. He answered our questions and then gave us Ito Thermie sessions, using such a hot flame that it provoked utter let go. Afterwards, I meditated for a long time and when I slept, I dreamed all night of priestesses in white initiating me into the mysteries of their forest grove.

Anne, Roshani and I determined that we will come back for a month at some point, and just be in this powerful energy, receiving the transmission which hangs pregnant in the very air.

Today, in the morning, we had a last sitting with Kohrogi Sensei, which was very deep and special. He looked into each person’s eyes for a long time, then used sound, then hugging, as a beautiful completion. Then he went to the airport and we went to a fabulous spa and natural hot springs with healing mineral water. After that, we went to lunch at a wonderful macrobiotic restaurant.

Now it is night. We have traveled to another island, one, which has the specialty of granting whatever one wishes for. Our purpose for being here is to do world peace meditation with Uezusan, the mystic healer who will be doing his first visit to England and France this May. We have already had one evening session with Uezusan. You may think I am really off my tree, but I assure you, he is truly as powerful a presence as one could imagine Christ to be, or Buddha. It is beyond the scope of imagination in fact. When that blast of universal energy hits you, oh my God! I felt my insides had turned inside out, and my guts were actually outer space. Or, that the whole of the cosmos is actually inside me. His presence has that much impact that we remember and reconnect with the whole. Tonight he gave a discourse, saying:

“God is asking you, how long will you be confused by your ego self, and misunderstanding it as your ‘self’? When you insist that this physical body is you, you are in illusion. This physical body is like a boat to travel your life journey. Is this boat the real you? The caption, who can control and express through this boat is the real you.

The essence, which allows and makes it possible to exist is the caption. Without a caption controlling, how can you use this physical body rightly? The purpose of your life is to wake up to your true self. Wake up to your real self. If everybody wakes up to the real self and lives through that, then war and terrorism are not possible. Peace is possible only in love.

The real you is love, The real you is harmony. If you know this, you cannot express anything wrong. Separation is an ignorant state. That is why I explain to people everywhere I go, wake up to yourself, give up your small ego, wake up to the great light of god. Unless human beings reach to this real point, then world peace will not be possible. I would like you to live your life, feeling yourself in everyone and everything, Gautam Buddha was speaking of this. I am the universe. This vast universe is I. Only this exists.“

I have been imagining how to describe the effect of receiving energy from him when he does individual healing. It is similar to the state just on the verge of orgasm, when every cell sings in ecstasy. Or, it is like when making love and being penetrated by the most magnificent lingam but instead of coming through the yoni, this lingam of light enters through the crown chakra and therefore, it is a feeling of making love to the universe. This of course is the feminine perspective. I have been laughing with Anne because she said she feels like she has lost her virginity at the crown chakra and her crown chakra and third eye centre are pulsating in orgasmic waves of ecstasy. We are staggering around as if we are perpetually drunk. For a man, I am not sure how they would describe this experience. I will have to ask the men in our group to tell me and then I will report it to you.

Of course, I also made time to have a luxurious hot bath in the spa looking over the very beautiful beach. There was a tropical rain storm, and so this felt very cozy. Now I am in a room with Anne, Roshani and Manine. This is because the hotel is crowded with so many people. However, today, the Japanese people will go and we will have only the western tour group will remain with Uezusan for a private day of meditation, a chance to ask our burning questions, and healing.

As promised, I asked a couple of men how they experience receiving energy healing from Uezusan. Champaka said, “I feel the descent of grace.
Yesterday, and this morning with Uezusan was divine. I believe we all felt ourselves entering the pure Buddha land. Uezusan guided us into the Dhamma Ball Meditation. He spoke to us about it as follows.

“I want you to be transmitters of love so that your love vibrations will support the earth and the whole universe. Please make your spine straight and in a relaxed position. Imagine a ball inside your head at the level of your for-head, ‘Ajni Chakra.’ The ball can be any size you like and radiates white light. Please imagine this white light of love is being released to the whole earth and the whole universe. You are love from the very beginning. You are love now. You will be love eternally.

Please recite this mantra inside, “I am love, I am god, I am universal truth. Allow this vibration to expand at infinitum. As this happens, you may begin sensing the vibration of Aum. Let it expand infinitely and embrace the whole universe. The vibration of love that you radiate expands to the whole earth and to the whole universe infinitely. This vibration of love, which you are releasing, will be used to harmonize everything in this world. Please expand it infinitely, spread it infinitely. I am infinite Aum.”

During the meditation he moved around our circle giving us hands on healing, touching the third eye, the crown, and the heart. Being in tune with him and through him, the experience of universal consciousness is the most wonderful gift imaginable. His meditation method is simple and also extremely effective. Infinite love is palpable in his presence. In addition to this, he is very humble. He is an uneducated person, which adds to the quality of innocence he radiates. He grew up in the jungle of Argentina in a mission. From a very young age he declared he was one with god and was often punished for that. When he speaks, he does so with the simple and direct authority of one who has experienced the divine in all of life.

After our meditation, Uezusan answered our questions. This went on for about 3 hours, as each person in our tour brought out their deepest issues. We could feel his answers came direct from source, with an intelligence beyond mind. I shared with him about the project of the eco resort, asking if this is a good direction for my energy. He gave his blessing for this. I asked him about the traditional Indian sound temple for chanting Aum, which I want to create there and he said people should be prepared to enter it by going through cleansing of their past burdens, as this temple will be very powerful.

I also shared with him that as we were meditating I experienced merging with him, and feeling the Dhamma ball as big as the planet, radiating brilliant white light. I experienced all dark and unconscious energy as being sucked into the ball like a vacuum, and once swallowed by the ball, exploding into infinite love and light. When I shared that, he became very happy, almost dancing in joy, like a small child.

INFINITE GRACE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MASTER

After dinner, he gave longer, whole body healing to each one of us. We completed this at 12:30 at night. We were all very tired, with crown chakras pulsating with grace and divine energy. At 6am we were back in the group room for another Dhamma Ball meditation with him. This one went into infinite space. Time evaporated. Mind was no more. The energy kept on spiraling higher and higher into more and more subtle realms.

Afterwards we had breakfast. He asked me to sit with him and to prepare questions for the short film clips to be done after breakfast. Ivo is a documentary film-maker and is doing a series of short film clips of Uezusan speaking on various subjects. We all sat there while Ivo filmed him answering the questions. I was taken by surprise when he asked me, and hope I came up with good questions, since I was still floating in the universe after the meditation. Luckily I had good training with Osho about going into cosmic consciousness and then coming back with a bang, ready to be in this world in the whirl of action. I call it learning to hold the divine wine. How much can I drink and still be functional? That is the question!

Now the plane is going to land, so I have to stop writing.

I embrace you with all my heart and soul.
