Hi Stephen,

Well, with Tantra, the best thing is to jump in and experience it! You could read a book to get some general overview, but the best thing is to have an experience. If there's no teachers in your local area, you could try Sarita's online Vigyan Bhairav Tantra meditation course (see http://www.schoolofawakening.com/vigyan-bhairav-tantra-webinar.php). Sarita gives a discourse on various meditations (which are very simple and can be done by anyone), and then offers four different practices in each class for people to try. You can then contact her by live chat or email to discuss your experience. We have teachers working in Bristol and London regularly (check our calendar and links page) if you'd like to get a taste via an evening, day or weekend group and its possible for you to get there, or, you could talk to one of our teachers about doing an event in your area, many of them are willing to travel.

Perhaps you would feel more comfortable starting with just men? Both Leigh and Suta run regular men's groups, and this can be a good way in if you are a little nervous of jumping right into a mixed setting! Another good way to have your first taste is a one-to-one Tantra session. Again, check our links page for a list of therapists affiliated to the School.

If there's anything else you'd like to know, get in touch!

Much love,

I am a single man, living in Liverpool, with a genuine interest in all aspects of Tantra but with no experience in what it really involves. I would appreciate some advice on what course would be suitable for me as an absolute beginner.

Best regards
Steve

Hey sounds good I wish we had something like that in Birmingham, have you ever heard of Barry Long. I used to enjoy being in his teaching and he was an amazing teacher.
