Asavari H

Tantra is associated with sex by many Westerners because they are not aware of the scope of what Tantra has to offer. I have been working for the past 12 years to help people in the West to become aware that Tantra is a path to Enlightenment through methods of meditation which include the full spectrum of human nature.

What you are saying about my site is not true. If you would read what is on the site you will see that I am offering the Tantra Meditation Retreat which offers 9 days on the 112 meditations from the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra. Perhaps you are too fixated on Maithuna and therefore did not see the full scope of what I am teaching.

Blessings and Love,
Sarita

While I love OSHO for what he has given to the world in terms of spirituality, I find myself having a question for his disciple.

Disclaimer - This is not meant to dishonour what you are doing, but nevertheless I find it hard not to ask, and in asking if i do something you don't particularly like, blame it on the EGO.

Question:
Why is TANTRA, always associated first with sex by most non-indians?

I was taught that TANTRA - comes from the root words "TAN" and "TRA" which means "expansion of consciuosness". This is possible through the five "panchamakaras" and "MAITHUNA" (Tantric Sex) is just one of the five things to do.

If you partake yourself only of "MAITHUNA" and miss out on the other four, either you are a coward or a fraud. On your site, there is Maithuna and only maithuna with no mention of the other four, why is that?

Will someone please answer my humble query? Thank you.
